En los ultimos 60 anos se han dado avances sustanciales en el area interdisciplinaria conocida como teoria de la argumentacion. Uno de los avances centrales ha sido el movimiento de la investigacion sobre los argumentos estaticos, considerados de manera aislada, hacia una preocupacion por las interacciones dialogicas situadas en un contexto especifico. Este interes ha implicado un lento y doloroso cambio hacia la inclusion de elementos no logicos como no discursivos de la comunicacion en el analisis de una interaccion argumentativa. Argumento que la actitud tradicional mostrada por la logica informal hacia la emocion puede y deberia ser moderada. Particularmente examino el papel de la emocion en la argumentacion cotidiana y como la logica informal puede abarcarla junto al modo logico mas tradicional de comunicacion
