Abstract
This article examines how adult female complainants, who are victims of sex crimes, are prejudiced in the criminal justice process by stereotyping and rape myths. The article also examines whether changes in the law have advanced the cause of female complainants by the elimination of sexist assumptions and prejudicial practices. Foreign jurisdictions, such as the United States of America, Canada and the United Kingdom, are examined for guidance.
