Abstract
Cet article met en relief l’importance de l’amitié littéraire entre Louis Dantin et Marine Leland, professeure de français du Smith College, au Massachusetts. Leland fait la connaissance de Dantin à Boston au début de la décennie 1940, c’est-à-dire vers la fin de la vie de Dantin. La découverte de l’oeuvre critique et poétique de cet écrivain par Leland sera très importante. Cette amitié littéraire est l’occasion d’examiner notamment ici le rapport qu’a entretenu Louis Dantin avec la « franco-américanie ».
