Abstract
Le mode d’industrialisation le plus rapide des années 1970, le « fordisme périphérique », est entré en crise dans les années 1980. Par delà les facteurs internes, les politiques récessives ou monétaristes menées dans les grands pays développés ont joué un rôle décisif dans cette crise, qui à son tour menace de déclencher une crise bancaire internationale. Devant ce risque, le monétarisme est abandonné aux États-Unis à partir de l’été 1982, mais les dégâts causés à l’économie mondiale restent à réparer.
