Abstract

Different methods to determine performance of the acoustic audit of environmental noise impact assessment were discussed. For the contribution of continuous, steady noise emissions from noise sources in a dominant facility, the direct measurement method could be applied. The sound power level of noise sources was determined through measurement of sound intensity of noise radiating surfaces in the sound intensity measurement method. It was found that application of each method required an assessment of the background sound levels in accordance with an accepted procedure.
