Abstract
p.1 Weimar au XVIII e siècle est une de ces minuscules résidences qui constituaient le Saint Empire Romain germanique.Pourtant, elle est devenue une ville symbole que l'on a appelée « l'Athènes du Nord », un des plus grands centres littéraires et artistiques, le berceau du classicisme allemand.Cela grâce à la rencontre entre Goethe et le jeune duc Carl August de Saxe-Weimar qui l'invite à sa cour.Lassé de la vie bourgeoise qu'il menait à Frankfurt, Goethe accepte l'invitation, estimant qu'une telle expérience valait la peine d'être vécue.Il ne pensait peut-être pas y finir ses jours !
