Abstract
"Este trabajo es una versión abreviada y revisada del artículo presentado en las XI Congreso Internacional de Ciencias Antropológicas y Etnológicas, en Vancouver, Canadá, (Agosto de 1983). Está basado en la investigación iniciada en 1978 y continuada hasta 1979 en conexión con el Programa para Reasentamientos urbanos y Acción social de las Autoridades de la Represa. También se ha utilizado información extensamente producida por la investigación de campo a largo plazo, llevada a cabo por un grupo de estudiantes de Antropología Social de la Universidad Nacional de Misiones. El artículo describe las primeras consecuencias del reasentamiento forzado de más de 20,000 personas en la ciudad de Posadas y analiza el sistema de supervivencia y las estrategias adaptativas de los pobres urbanos. Es necesario destacar que este análisis mantiene su vigencia sobre todo para reflejar las condiciones iniciales del proceso relocalizatorio."
