Abstract
El derecho a la propiedad privada está delimitado por la función social que está llamado a cumplir, resultando reconocido como fundamento de la potestad expropiatoria de la Administración Pública. La propiedad privada no es pues un derecho absoluto, sino que esta limitación tiene reconocimiento constitucional. El procedimiento expropiatorio presenta especialidades por razón de los objetos expropiados, diferenciándose en la Ley de Expropiación Forzosa supuestos de expropiación de bienes de valor artístico, histórico y arqueológico; por incumplimiento de la función social de la propiedad; por entidades locales o por razón del urbanismo; por causa de colonización o de obras públicas; la realizada en materia de propiedad industrial; y las que son objeto de nuestro análisis, en concreto por zonas o grupos de bienes, la que dé lugar a traslado de poblaciones, y por razones de defensa nacional y de seguridad del Estado.
