Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The wave of Chinese immigrants to Canada is increasing day by day. Toronto is one of the big cities in Canada and has experienced the impact of this trend. The Toronto Chinese Churches which were serving the Cantonese-speaking community are beginning to search for ways to expand their Mandarin ministry. As yet however, not many Chinese Churches have developed a Mandarin ministry. The reasons for this are two fold. First of all, not many churches have caught onto this vision or the urgency of the situation. Secondly, those who have seen the need are uncertain as to how to begin this ministry. The purpose of this thesis is first to analyze the immigration influx from Mainland China in order to sound the urgent wake up call to the Cantonese-speaking Chinese Churches in Toronto. Secondly, this paper will formulate strategies to help those churches that are willing to respond to this vision to set up their Mandarin ministry. The writer will use the bible as the foundation and actual interview with experienced churches in finding mistakes and pitfalls to avoid. This is in the hopes that churches can develop Mandarin ministries according to God's will in the future so as to spread the gospel to our kindred from Mainland China, expanding God's kingdom.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
