RÉSUMÉ/SUMMARY Réactions locales à la crise économique : les villes américaines et la nouvelle division internationale du travail L'article examine quelques rapports importants entre la réorganisation spatiale de la production, qui résulte de la crise économique mondiale, et un certain nombre de processus politiques, économiques et sociaux actuellement en vigueur dans les villes des États-Unis. Ceux-ci incluent la croissance d'une économie parallèle, la réapparition d'ateliers insalubres, une quatrième grande vague de migration vers les villes américaines, la vulnérabilité du mouvement syndical, l'expression de revendications locales dans les quartiers urbains, et la propagation de ces revendications des villes du Snowbelt à celles du Sunbelt. La migration des hispanophones vers les villes du Sunbelt sert d'exemple précis pour illustrer les liens entre ces processus.
