Abstract
In this paper the writers analize, from Paulo Freire�s work,\ncommunication in present day society, and propose the\nconstitution of a revolutionary dialogic communication as an\nesssential way of figthing against imperialism and in favor of\nhumanism. This proposal is done in an imperial world context,\nwhere the everlasting war and the accumulation of capital are\nsupported by most of the mass media. Centered in the creation\nof new communication methods based on Paulo Freire�s ideas,\nthe authors of this article evaluate alternative media and social\nmovements in Latin America, and imagine an audience\nbeyond the �bewildered herd�.
