In this paper, an efficient technique is presented for simulation of on-chip RF components such as inductors and transformers along with nonlinear components. The method is based on the recently developed model-reduction technique, block complex frequency hopping (BCFH). In the proposed method, the on-chip component under consideration is macromodelled in terms of first order differential equations using the BCFH, which can be easily linked to nonlinear simulators such as SPICE. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed technique. A speed-up of 2-3 orders of magnitude is achieved using the proposed method, compared to conventional analysis.
