Abstract
Prenant appui sur la théorie générale des champs de Pierre Bourdieu, cette étude montre comment l’autonomie médiatique et politique est nuancée, relativisée, voire remise en cause par l’omniprésence du pouvoir maraboutique, en particulier au Sénégal. Les contours de la situation sénégalaise y sont évoqués avec la force du pouvoir maraboutique, ses conséquences sur le comportement des acteurs sociaux et la règle qu’il impose au champ médiatique (autocensure journalistique), malgré les prémisses d’un changement dans le comportement des médias.
