Abstract
Cette étude dresse un portrait des services utilisés par des parents et leur enfant ayant une déficience intellectuelle, évalue la satisfaction à l’égard de ceux-ci et répertorie ceux que les parents souhaiteraient recevoir. Un questionnaire a été complété par 199 parents lors d’une rencontre à domicile. Les résultats révèlent qu’ils sont généralement satisfaits des services reçus. Cependant, ceux dont ils ne bénéficient pas sont réclamés dans des proportions variant de 32 à 58 %. Le répit-gardiennage s’avère le plus utilisé et le plus réclamé. Quant aux services non reçus, plusieurs parents jugent que l’intervention de spécialistes, particulièrement des orthophonistes, serait significative pour leur enfant. Comme les résultats convergent avec ceux d’études antérieures, il importe d’ajuster l’offre de services aux besoins réels des parents.
