Abstract
Prevention of diseases is the modern focal point in healthcare and is the best option for maintaining a healthful society and reducing healthcare costs. Not only is this an important strategy for a productive society, but also for the overall progress and stability of societies across the world. This chapter describes the incidences of chronic degenerative diseases that occur as a result of unhealthy lifestyle and its implications. The importance of dietary strategies for the prevention of chronic degenerative diseases is discussed.
