Abstract
Cherchant à développer une perspective sociologique de l'enfance qui soit davantage axée sur l'enfant, l'auteure met en question le concept de parentage (parenting), défini dans la littérature scienti Jïque par la prise en charge des enfants par les seuls parents. Elle propose d'élargir ce concept et de l'appliquer à tous les agents adultes qui, de près ou de loin, participent à cette prise en charge. Elle met ensuite en évidence l'intérêt d'une telle perspective pour saisir la structuration de l'enfance qui s'exerce dans les sociétés développées contemporaines.
