Abstract
Les auteurs entendent approfondir l'utilisation des notions de trajectoire administrative et de cheminement individuel pour appréhender l'exclusion et la marginalisation dans le contexte de la modernité. La réflexion théorique et la discussion des concepts s'appuient sur une recherche empirique, à la fois statistique et qualitative, portant sur le processus de réinsertion sociale et professionnelle de travailleurs qui ont été victimes d'une lésion professionnelle. L'échec relatif des dispositifs publics mis en place pour la réinsertion professionnelle et l'effet pervers de certains mécanismes posent avec acuité la question de l'exclusion ou de la marginalisation et celle de son rapport avec les institutions.
