Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We present a measurement of the top-quark mass using a sample of $t\overline{t}$ events in $5.7\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ of integrated luminosity from $p\overline{p}$ collisions at the Fermilab Tevatron with $\sqrt{s}=1.96\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{TeV}$ and collected by the CDF II Detector. We select events having large missing transverse energy, and four, five, or six jets with at least one jet tagged as coming from a $b$ quark, and reject events with identified charged leptons. This analysis considers events from the semileptonic $t\overline{t}$ decay channel, including events that contain tau leptons. The measurement is based on a multidimensional template method. We fit the data to signal templates of varying top-quark masses and background templates, and measure a top-quark mass of ${\mathrm{M}}_{\mathrm{top}}=172.32\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}2.4(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}1.0(\mathrm{syst})\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}/{c}^{2}$.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
