Abstract
Le discours sur l'art et les autres expressions et manifestations esthétiques et symboliques que la culture englobe ne peut trouver sa cohérence et sa pleine force qu'à partir d'une réflexion situant ces phénomènes dans un cadre analytique plus global. L'art ne peut être efficacement saisi et circonscrit que dans un rapport théorique le reliant au culturel et au societal. Vouloir singulariser l'art, et le couper de ce contexte qui lui accorde sens et relief, mène indiscutablement à une perception biaisée et partielle du processus de création artistique, dont l'intelligibilité ne peut être véritablement posée qu'en rapport avec la dynamique intégrale du social et de l'histoire.
