Abstract
Résumé La préparation à la naissance et à la parentalité (PNP) s’inscrit parmi les actions d’éducation pour la santé en périnatalité. Elle trouve principalement ses origines dans la méthode d’accouchement sans douleur du D r Lamaze, ancrée dans les modèles de l’instruction, béhavioriste et biomédical de la santé. En 2005, la Haute Autorité de Santé rédige des recommandations pour la pratique clinique de la PNP. En modifiant ses objectifs et son appellation, et en faisant appel aux principes de la Charte d’Ottawa et au concept de promotion de la santé, la Haute Autorité de Santé incite à une évolution des pratiques. Évolution, qui suppose la référence à de nouveaux modèles théoriques éducatifs et de santé, et pourrait conduire à une nouvelle dynamique d’autonomisation des femmes, mais aussi des sages-femmes, principaux acteurs de la PNP.
