Abstract
Résumé Le secteur associatif occupe une place majeure dans le paysage sanitaire et social en France. Si l’on écarte le secteur public pour observer le seul secteur privé dont font partie les associations, elles représentent jusqu’à 89 % des emplois dans l’action sociale sans hébergement. Si le secteur associatif reste largement majoritaire, et parfois même omniprésent (exemple du handicap), le secteur lucratif a gagné du terrain dans des activités comme l’aide à domicile, la petite enfance ou l’aide aux personnes âgées, notamment sous l’influence du plan Borloo. C’est aussi un secteur touché par le recul de l’emploi depuis ces derniers mois, et particulièrement l’aide à domicile. Le moral des responsables associatifs interrogés en décembre 2011 s’en trouve affecté.
