Abstract
S’attachant à l’étude des démarcateurs de la fin et des procédés terminaux, cet article confronte les textes de clôture des deux recueils de contes de Jacques Ferron (1921-1985), « La vache morte du canyon » (Contes du pays incertain) et « La dame de Ferme-Neuve » (Contes anglais). La clausule du dernier texte d’un recueil marquant le terme de son propre récit tout en proposant une fin à tout le recueil, la comparaison des textes de clôture des deux recueils, leur rapprochement avec les textes d’ouverture ainsi que l’étude des choix faits dans ces lieux stratégiques des recueils éclairent l’itinéraire que l’auteur fait parcourir à son lecteur.
