Ce document est le compte rendu d’un stage réalisé dans le cadre de la maîtrise en Pratiques de recherche et action publique (PRAP) à l’Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS). Il s’agit d’une expérience de terrain en tant qu’agent d’interface à la Centrale des syndicats du Québec (CSQ). Outre les nombreuses activités de transfert, nous avons produit un rapport de recherche sur le phénomène de la surdiplomation au Québec. Plusieurs organismes reconnus (CETECH, ISQ, OCDE) indiquent que le marché du travail intègre de moins en moins efficacement les titulaires d’un diplôme universitaire. Les enjeux sous-jacents à cette problématique sont nombreux. Cette dépréciation des diplômes comporte pour le Québec des coûts économiques, sociaux et politiques. À partir d’une préoccupation commune, nous avons émis l’hypothèse que la communauté scientifique, les praticiens et les décideurs sociaux ont intérêt à considérer plus sérieusement ce phénomène. Pour ce faire, le rapport de recherche a servi de source et de référence à la création de plusieurs activités de transfert et de diffusion, telles qu’un atelier de discussion, des publications, un site Internet et des participations médiatiques. En plus de contribuer à une meilleure compréhension des enjeux et des tendances sous-jacentes à la problématique de la surdiplomation au Québec, ce projet de stage témoigne essentiellement d’une expérience concrète de co-construction de connaissances et propose une réflexion sur les retombées de ce stage, ainsi que du métier d’agent d’interface en général.
