Abstract
Cet article décrit comment une norme, la participation des personnes séropositives dans le système de santé, pensée et promue à l’échelle internationale par les organismes de lutte contre le sida, est interprétée dans le contexte hospitalier du Cambodge. Issue d’une étude ethnographique réalisée dans quatre hôpitaux cambodgiens (à Phnom Penh, Battambang, Siem Reap et Kandal) entre 2006 et 2008, cette analyse met en évidence la pluralité des sens que peut revêtir une même norme, la marge de manoeuvre des acteurs locaux par rapport à celle-ci et l’influence du contexte social sur les mécanismes d’interprétation.
