Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify strategies that enable church members to assimilate the distinctives of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada (C&MA). The study investigates how believers learn to live the Spirit-filled life adopting for themselves a Great Commission lifestyle. Our research considered the relationship between how clearly leadership knew the fulness of Christ, how well they could communicate it, how well member received it and finally how well members could share their experience with others. The research was not intended to ascertain if churches were effective at assimilating new members. Rather, it is an investigation how churches that were deemed effective by district leadership were accomplishing their goal. The churches that participated were perceived to be successful at raising up Spirit-filled believers who were participating in witness and mission.
