Abstract
Depuis des sicles, l'Amrindien est l'une des figures les plus emblmatiques de l'altrit, et une trs abondante littrature a dj t consacre aux discours dont il a fait l'objet. Mais les rappropriations et manipulations symboliques dont il s'agit ici prsentent une dimension particulire, dont l'tude est bien moins frquente : elles passent avant tout par une mise en actes, dans laquelle l'exprience physique et l'implication personnelle jouent un rle primordial.
