Abstract
Cet article fait état d'études menées auprès d'enfants travaillant dans la rue à Mexico, phénomène assez récent dont l'ampleur est difficile à évaluer. Il importe d'opérer une distinction entre les enfants qui travaillent pour contribuer à la survie économique de leur famille et ceux qui, n'ayant plus de liens familiaux, errent et survivent dans la rue. Même dans ce dernier cas, toutefois, les liens sociaux entre pairs sont réels et structurants. Parler d'exclus à propos de ces enfants est, dans ce sens, inapproprié.
