Abstract
Cet article présente tout d’abord la mise en place d’une arène de concertation – la Conférence des Hautes-Vosges – lieu de résolution d’un conflit tourisme-environnement concernant la Route des Crêtes dans le Parc naturel régional des Ballons des Vosges. Il a pour second objectif d’analyser comment la commande d’une « analyse sociologique » s’est transformée en un accompagnement par la recherche de cette concertation sous la forme d’une recherche participative. Il essaie enfin de comprendre les relations complexes qui peuvent exister entre recherche participative et participation lorsque celle-ci est menée, au moins dans un premier temps, par un chercheur.
