Abstract
Sans prétendre passer en revue les résultats acquis par la sociologie du travail, l'auteur cherche si l'on peut tirer de ces travaux un paradigme d'usage plus général. De réflexions sur le marché du travail, les nouvelles technologies, la théorie des organisations, l'action collective et les systèmes de relations professionnelles, il cherche à tirer les principes d'une sociologie de la régulation sociale où la règle sociale définit l'acteur collectif en même temps qu'elle est créée par lui. Il conclut par quelques réflexions sur la quantification et la statistique, l'étude des processus sociaux et la fonction critique de la sociologie.
