Abstract
En établissant des liens aussi étroits entre une narration littéraire et une narration dessinée, la bande dessinée semble représenter un médium privilégié pour mettre le temps de nos vies en espace. Entre 1999 et 2011, Michel Rabagliati, auteur québécois, consacre sept albums à la vie de Paul, son double diégétique. Ces volumes qui alternent short stories et graphic novels relatent des tranches de la vie de Paul, depuis ses 10 ans jusqu’à sa vie adulte. Le recours régulier à l’analepse ou à la prolepse, expression de l’intériorité du narrateur, est systématiquement accompagné d’une reconstitution des lieux traversés, fréquentés par lui, expression de son extériorité. Temporalité et spatialité semblent donc concourir à la construction du personnage, à son existence même. En outre, les relations qu’entretient Paul avec son passé et les espaces de son passé sont autant de marqueurs qui font écho dans la propre vie des lecteurs en mobilisant intertextualité et intericonicité.
