Peu de choses ont été écrites sur Artemesia Gentileschi, une peintre italienne du XVIIe siècle, depuis que des féministes historiennes de l’art l’ont redécouverte au cours des années 1970. Life Without Instruction, une pièce écrite par Sally Clark en 1994, est une importante illustration de la façon que l’on s’est réapproprié Gentileschi aujourd’hui.
