Les enjeux de la réussite scolaire des élèves d’origine immigrée rejoignent ceux qui sont relatifs à l’ensemble des élèves, tout en intégrant une spécificité liée à leur situation de minorité ou à certains défis concernant, par exemple, la connaissance du système scolaire ou la maîtrise de la langue d’enseignement. L’auteure, à travers certaines recherches, montre la nécessité d’une mobilisation de tous les protagonistes (école, famille, communauté) pour soutenir la réussite scolaire de ces élèves. Sa réflexion a pour toile de fond la réalité scolaire à Montréal. Un regard positif sur la différence ethnique, culturelle et linguistique est une condition essentielle pour relever ces défis.
