Malgre son appartenance l’etiquette manifestive (qui allie la fete et l’engagement), l’auteur-compositeur-interprete Tomas Jensen se fait aussi tres cynique dans ses chansons, attitude qui parait aux antipodes de celle du chanteur engage traditionnel. Partant de ces constats, on postulera que la notion d’engagement, portee par des ideologies totalisantes, est aujourd’hui incompatible avec les modes de pensee postmodernes. A partir de cet antagonisme, les artistes engages auraient cree une facon contemporaine d’envisager l’engagement. Le present article se propose de questionner ces hypotheses en centrant son propos autour de Jensen pour degager la nouvelle ethique de l’engagement qui s’y profile
