Résumé Cette réflexion sur la diplomatie du bien-être de l’enfance inaugurée par la SDN montre en quoi les questions de l’approche transnationale relatives à la variété des espaces, des acteurs et des rythmes, procurent une méthode fructueuse pour l’étude profonde de la culture politique. Les allers-retours entre scènes locales et internationales expliquent l’élaboration de méthodes d’enquête, la formation de la diplomatie aborigène, ou encore une certaine montée du pouvoir démocratique des enfants et peuvent, en d’autres cas, signaler les moyens moins connus qu’ont utilisés les élites pour conserver leur pouvoir.
