Abstract
Résumé Dans les pays où l’accès des adolescents à la contraception est le plus largement autorisé par la loi, les jeunes se protègent davantage des grossesses non prévues. L’analyse comparative des situations en France, aux États-Unis, en GrandeBretagne, au Canada et en Suède montre que c’est bien dans les pays où la tolérance sociale vis-à-vis de la sexualité des jeunes est la plus importante que les taux de contraception sont les plus élevés et les taux dìavortement les plus bas. Ce constat amène à questionner la notion de « majorité sexuelle », c’est-à-dire l’âge fixé en dessous duquel les relations sexuelles ne sont pas autorisées, mais également les conditions d’accès à la contraception et à lìavortement en France, et plus largement dans les pays européens.
