Résumé L’engagement « juif » de Pierre Vidal-Naquet prend ses racines dans la guerre des Six Jours qui lui permet d’exprimer pour la première fois publiquement ses positions sur Israël, sur ses relations avec ses voisins arabes et sur sa vision du sionisme. Son attitude face à cette crise souligne ses interrogations à l’égard de ses origines juives car sa passion « sioniste » des premiers jours laisse place à une distanciation qui le conduit à une analyse novatrice de la nature du conflit israélo-palestinien et à la manière de le résoudre.
