Abstract
L’objectif de cet article est d’interpréter la réflexion de Paul Vidal de la Blache en soulignant la dimension géopolitique, un thème qui mérite d’être approfondi. Dans sa conception de la géographie comme stratégie de survie non seulement des groupes sociaux mais aussi des États nationaux, Vidal de la Blache suit d’un regard assez critique le rôle géopolitique de la France dans des pays comme le Maroc, l’Algérie, le Canada, le Pérou et le Brésil.
