En s’attachant à la réception des contes merveilleux canadiens-français au xixe et au début du xxe siècle, cet article cherche à montrer comment le conte de fées classique, qui se joint à cette tradition, contribue à l’encadrement des croyances superstitieuses. Il cherche plus particulièrement à montrer comment le conte de fées classique participe, dans les premières décennies du xxe siècle, à une forme de sécularisation de l’imaginaire, alors que le merveilleux féérique remplace le merveilleux chrétien.
