Abstract
Quatre thèmes sont d’une importance décisive pour comprendre la dimension de genre qui affecte la politique de santé publique et le système de soins en Russie : les différences hommes femmes dans la perception que chaque groupe se fait de sa santé ; la disparité des indicateurs de mortalité et de morbidité ; l’inégal accès financier aux soins, et les problèmes spécifiques des femmes atteintes du virus du sida. Les questions de genre sont certes discutées en Russie, mais surtout dans des groupes d’experts, et l’action gouvernementale en la matière reste fragmentaire. L’approche du genre, telle que l’illustre la problématique de la santé, n’est pas partie prenante des stratégies de développement. Quand elle se manifeste, elle est plus une réponse à une attente mondiale qu’elle ne témoigne d’une véritable conscience de l’importance des problèmes de genre pour l’avenir de la société russe.
