Abstract
Résumé En 2007, le Royaume‐Uni a commémoré le bicentenaire de l’abolition de la traite transatlantique des esclaves par les Britanniques. Des commémorations ont eu lieu dans tout le pays sur des sites du patrimoine. Nous examinerons où et de quelles façons celles‐ci se sont déroulées, qui y a assisté et quelles histoires y ont été relatées. Nous tenterons également de déterminer dans quelle mesure et de quelle manière ces événements ont favorisé l’inclusivité multiculturelle qui, dans l’optique du présent article, est le but recherché.
