Abstract
Les dernières années ont été marquées au Québec par un âpre débat sur l’orientation à donner à l’éducation historique des jeunes. On a beaucoup décrié la volonté du ministère de l’Éducation de transformer le cours d’histoire nationale en un cours d’histoire et d’éducation à la citoyenneté. Il faut comprendre pourquoi : changer d’histoire, c’est en effet interroger, voire rouvrir, la mémoire et l’identité. On est ici au cœur du politique. L’article vise à faire état des enjeux sociétaux traversant la réforme actuelle du curriculum d’histoire au Québec.
