Abstract
En el presente artículo se analiza el efecto de la evolución de la red del Metro de 1990 a 2000 sobre la consolidación de cuatro barrios periféricos del Distrito Federal. Tras elaborar una relación entre el índice de accesibilidad al trabajo y ciertos indicadores, se observó que los barrios con mejores índices de accesibilidad también presentan una evolución en su consolidación. Finalmente se constató que contrariamente al factor monetario, el tiempo de recorrido no siempre representa una ventaja para el usuario del transporte colectivo.
