Bibliographic record
Abstract
AbstractThis article questions the motivations and the devices of making the man and the woman of letter into heros in Artamène ou le grand Cyrus (1649-1653) by Madeleine de Scudéry, through the analysis of the character of Solon, an Athenian politician and poet, who is a recurring character all along this heroic novel. Making Solon into a hero not only enhances the novel with specific historical knowledge, but can also be read in two ways: on the one hand, his political commitments are liable to echo the events of La Fronde, which take place at the same time as the writing of the novel, and on the other hand, his presence enables the creation of women of letter, by symbolically investing them with his authority. Thus, making the man and the woman of letter into heros in Le Grand Cyrus implies some sociocultural stakes, especially regarding the positionning of this woman author in the literary field of her time.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
