Abstract
Les études qui abordent la thématique du rapport de genre au Maghreb se sont surtout orientées sur la séparation des univers, illustrant le poncif anthropologique : espace privé (féminin) et espace public (masculin). Si la problématique de la dichotomie est féconde comme l’ont illustré ces écrits, il nous apparaît tout aussi signifiant de s’attacher à décrire comment la rencontre entre les sexes engendre des comportements spécifiques mettant en scène la nature même des relations. Dans cette perspective, c’est le corps qui nous paraît offrir un support d’expression privilégié dans la manifestation de soi à l’autre. Cette contribution entend proposer une approche de ces discours du corps comme moyen d’information entre les hommes et les femmes au sein d’une communauté rurale berbérophone (Maroc, tribu des Aït Khebbach), illustrant les domaines auditifs et olfactifs comme outils privilégiés de l’expression de soi.
