Abstract
La formacion sobre el parto representa un componente clave de la asistencia prenatal, si bien es cierto que un numeroso grupo de mujeres no reciben ninguna preparacion formal. Existen muchos modelos de formacion relativa al parto tanto en las instituciones sanitarias, incluido el Centering Pregnancy, como programas externos, como los de Lamaze y Bradley. El plan de nacimiento, dentro de la preparacion para el parto, puede suponer una herramienta de mejora tanto de la comunicacion entre la paciente y el medico acerca de la modalidad de parto deseada y la experiencia del parto como de la satisfaccion generada por la asistencia.
