Cody Lecoy was born in Richmond Canada in 1989. He is an artist of Okanagan and Esquimalt ancestry. Cody is currently enrolled in the BFA program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Cody has been the recipient of two consecutive scholarship awards with the YVR Art Foundation in 2011 and 2012. Most of his work is acrylic on canvas.  In his work Lecoy uses Northwest Coast formal design elements and surreal expressionism to create a visceral response that connects us to the environment.
