O objetivo desse trabalho foi realizar um monitoramento hidrogeológico nas adjacências do aterro controlado de Londrina – PR. A metodologia utilizada baseou-se em duas principais etapas, quais sejam, utilização do permeâmetro Guelph, modelo 2800, a fim, de se determinar a condutividade hidráulica do solo em condição saturada, através de duas técnicas apropriadas para o aparelho; e quantificação da recarga do aqüífero freático, com vistas a estimar o volume de água possivelmente degradado, devido à má disposição dos resíduos sólidos. Os resultados apontaram que a área apresenta uma condutividade hidráulica baixa com uma média entre as duas técnicas de 5,16 X 10-4 cm/s. O volume da recarga foi calculado em 157403 m3/ano e a contribuição efetiva da chuva para a recarga foi de 1000 mm/ano. Os resultados alcançados mostraram-se satisfatórios e espera-se que esse trabalho auxilie no desenvolvimento de pesquisas futuras.
