Abstract
Ce texte est une réflexion inspirée des différentes analyses développées dans ce numéro. Tant en matière de définition du champ de recherche que de repérage des mutations essentielles, il nous semble nécessaire de préciser certaines notions de base. Trois aspects du problème nous semblent ressortir particulièrement de la lecture de ces diverses contributions : le rôle central de la dimension religieuse, la dialectique complexe entre l'enfance et la famille et les rapports entre les sphères privée et publique. Le texte débouche sur le rappel de la difficulté, des défis, mais aussi du caractère heuristique essentiel du réflexe comparatif en histoire.
