J.R. Leveille se situe parmi les poetes explorateurs adeptes de la metapoesie et du deconstructionisme. Le theme polymorphe de la mort, evoque par les multiples images poetiques de Leveille, rejoint une architecture du retentissement, soit une etude de la perception des images poetiques au-dela des doctrines causales de la psychologie ou de la psychanalyse. Les images poetiques de Leveille permettent la construction d'une heterotopie de la mort au sens de Michel Foucault; nous y trouvons l'irrepresentabilite de la mort, a savoir son caractere a jamais enigmatique.
