Abstract
Les Innus sont l'un des onze peuples autochtones qui vivent au Québec. Leur territoire ancestral couvre les régions actuelles du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean et de la Basse et de la Haute Côte-Nord jusqu'aux limites des territoires inuit et cri, dans le nord du Québec. Comment la population innue inscrite au Registre des Indiens et vivant dans les réserves de ce territoire a-t-elle évolué entre 1973 et 1993? Comparativement à la population québécoise, quel profil global présente-t-elle? À partir des données corrigées du Registre et des données des services médicaux de Santé et Bien-être social Canada, l'auteure calcule les principaux indices démographiques de la nation innue.
